Pattern Field Theory - A Coherence-Based Framework for Identity, Structure, and Physical Law

Pattern Field Theory (PFT) is a foundational physical framework that replaces particle-centric ontology with coherence-based identity defined on a structured lattice. The theory introduces the Allen Orbital Lattice (AOL) as a prime-indexed hexagonal model space in which stable coherence identities (coherons) arise as the fundamental carriers of physical and chemical behavior. Stability is governed by a structural constraint termed Phase Alignment Lock (PAL), which enforces identity persistence and bounded interaction under load.
This document serves as an instructional and foundational presentation of PFT. No prior knowledge of Pattern Field Theory is assumed. All acronyms are expanded on first use, core concepts are defined explicitly, and mathematical structure is developed step by step. The purpose of this work is not to summarize existing physics, but to construct a new mechanical ontology from first principles, in which established physical theories appear as effective or limiting cases.

Pattern Field Theory First Premise for Chemistry
Chemistry is expressed as stable identity under structured field constraints. In Pattern Field Theory (PFT), identity is defined in model space and observed chemistry is a downstream expression of that identity under load, environment, and boundary conditions.
Assumptions and Scope
This paper assumes the Pattern Field Theory framework and the existence of coherence-identities (coherons) as defined within that framework. The formal ontological definition, existence conditions, and dynamical stability of coherons are treated in separate foundational work and are not rederived here. The present paper focuses specifically on the structural consequences for chemical identity and periodicity once these assumptions are in place.

Coherons are stable duplex curvature modes. Chemical behavior is governed by coheron cluster configurations rather than by electrons as primary primitives.
The Allen Orbital Lattice
